Explore the Bounty of the Umpqua Valley

Our Partners

The Umpqua Grown Guide aims to connect consumers with the stories behind our region’s abundant agricultural community, food and beverage oriented businesses, and the retailers who support them.

The 2025 issue was compiled through a systematic review of our County’s businesses that buy or produce local ingredients or products or provide food and nutrition-related resources. The directory was also developed by inviting our local businesses and organizations to submit their information for free by completing a short application.

The Thrive Umpqua Food System Committee, Umpqua Valley Farm to School, Thrive Umpqua, City of Roseburg, and Ford Family Foundation are partners that have provided financial and staff resources for the 2025 Guide.

Online applications for directory listings or ads in the 2026 Umpqua Grown Guide are due by Sunday, December 5, 2025. The anticipated release of the 2026 Guide will be Spring 2026. To learn more about how you can purchase an ad, please check out our price sheet for both businesses and non-profit/community organizations rates.

A Certified Blue Zones Community

Thrive Umpqua is a community-wide initiative continuing the success of Blue Zones Project by making healthy choices easier for residents and businesses by implementing well-being best practices throughout our community’s neighborhoods, organizations, policies and social networks. We convene the regional food systems committee with projects focused on nutrition education, hunger relief and healthy food access.

Our offerings include cooking and gardening classes/demos, community and school garden support, and co-operating our local produce prescription programs, VeggieRx Umpqua.

Umpqua Valley Farm to School believes food security begins with a strong community connection to the land and its food. By supporting local food systems and providing education to Douglas County youth, UVF2S cultivates skills and passion to build food-community connections. UVF2S aims to achieve an equitable and sustainable food system that nurtures and strengthens Douglas County’s people and economy.
