The Umpqua Grown Guide aims to connect consumers with the stories behind our region’s abundant agricultural community, food and beverage oriented businesses, their bounty of locally grown and produced goods and the retailers who support them. We provide education and resources for obtaining fresh local foods on any budget, learning how to garden and cook with nutritionally dense foods and understanding Douglas County’s food and nutrition-related assistance programs and agricultural events.
The 2024 issue was compiled through a systematic review of our County’s businesses that buy or produce local ingredients or products or provide food and nutrition-related resources. The directory was also developed by inviting our local businesses and organizations to submit their information for free by completing a short application.
The Thrive Umpqua Food System Committee, Umpqua Valley Farm to School, Feeding Umpqua, Umpqua Valley Farmers’ Market, Umpqua Health Alliance, Cow Creek Tribe, Rogue Food Unites, Ford Family Foundation, and City of Roseburg are partners that have provided financial and staff resources for the 2024 Guide.
Online applications for directory listings or ads in the 2025 Umpqua Grown Guide are due by Sunday, December 1, 2024. The anticipated release of the 2025 Guide will be Spring 2025. To learn more about how you can purchase an ad, please check out our price sheet for both businesses and non-profit/community organizations rates.
